What is SofraPiwas?
SofraPiwas is a restaurant management platform: QR menus and online ordering, live order boards for kitchen, cashier and servers, reservations, loyalty points and thermal-printer tickets — all in one place. It grew out of the system running every service at RUMI Restaurant in Geneva.
How much does SofraPiwas cost?
During early access, founding restaurants pay nothing — setup and support are on the house, and founding restaurants keep a lifetime discount when regular pricing arrives. Regular plans will be simple flat monthly pricing with optional add-on modules.
Can my guests pay online — including TWINT?
Yes — add the Online payments module and your guests pay by card, with local methods like TWINT in Switzerland and iDEAL in the Netherlands. The money goes straight into your own Stripe account and we take no commission. You complete Stripe's one-time verification before your first payment. The module is billed from the day you activate it, so if your account is still being verified when the first invoice lands, ask us and we will credit that month. You can always keep charging at the counter as well.
Which languages does the menu support?
Ten languages out of the box — English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Arabic, Russian and Chinese. Your guests order in their own language from the same menu.
Does it work with my kitchen printer?
Yes. A companion app (Windows and Android) drives ESC/POS thermal printers over the network, so orders print in the kitchen exactly where you want them — no extra hardware subscription.
Who is behind SofraPiwas, and is it actually used anywhere?
SofraPiwas is built by a small team based in the Netherlands, and it runs every live service at RUMI Restaurant in Geneva (rumirestaurant.ch) — orders, kitchen board, reservations and printers have been in production there since June 2026. We onboard new restaurants personally.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. Every restaurant gets a free sofra subdomain, and you can connect a domain you already own — or we register a brand-new one for you during setup.
