GloriaFood alternatives for Swiss restaurants

A dated comparison of three different routes: a Swiss-market POS, a migration option named by GloriaFood, and SofraPiwas for restaurants looking for setup help.

GloriaFood says its service ends on 30 April 2027 and that support for existing customers continues through that date. Oracle says it has no direct replacement and points customers to FoodAmigos. If you use GloriaFood, compare options against your own menu, service flow, payments, data and staff needs before changing live links.

This is a source-led snapshot, not a ranking. Provider descriptions and migration promises are attributed to the provider that publishes them. Public pages reviewed did not confirm every vendor’s Switzerland availability, processing fees or contract terms; ask for a written, restaurant-specific offer.

A low-risk GloriaFood transition checklist

Keep your current customer route available while you test its replacement. The announced end date is a planning boundary, not a reason to switch a working service without a rehearsal.

  1. 1

List every live touchpoint and workflow: website buttons, QR codes by table, social and map links, reservations, delivery or pickup, payments, notifications, reports and kitchen printing.

  2. 2

Ask GloriaFood what can be exported, in which format and until when. Request the menu, modifiers, photos, allergen notes, customer data and settings you need; verify the export before cancelling anything.

  3. 3

Rebuild a representative menu and test it with staff on real phones. Check languages, prices, modifiers, order routing, receipts, payments and printer or kitchen display.

  4. 4

Choose a quiet service window, update one customer link at a time, keep a staff fallback ready and monitor the first live orders before removing the old route.

When does GloriaFood service end?

GloriaFood’s current notice says the service reaches end of life on 30 April 2027 and that support for existing customers continues through that date. Recheck its official notice before making a migration schedule.

Is FoodAmigos a direct Oracle replacement for GloriaFood?

No direct replacement is offered, according to Oracle’s notice. It names FoodAmigos as a provider with onboarding resources for customers who choose to move. That referral does not establish feature equivalence, Swiss availability or a particular migration outcome.

Which option should I choose for Swiss payments?

Start with the payment methods and processor your own restaurant needs, then verify eligibility, fees, settlement currency and setup in writing. Lightspeed’s Swiss page advertises TWINT; public sources reviewed here do not establish equivalent Swiss payment availability for every plan or provider.
